Xiaomi is now a well-known smartphone brand for its budget smartphones and full packed features. Xiaomi’s identity is its own custom UI design i.e MIUI.
The latest MIUI version is 10. Now MIUI 10 supports 40 models of Mi and Redmi series together. In an official statement Xiaomi said, MIUI ecosystem has over 300 million users and has an era of 402 weeks of development and update since its initial release more than 6 months ago.
Now its time to look forward. At the company’s MIUI Core Experience Annual Meeting, the Xiaomi officially confirmed kicking off the MIUI 11 development process. Liu Ming, the Product Planning Department Head, said that MIUI 11 will be a “new and unique” OS.
The last two versions of MIUI i.e MIUI 9 was focused on fast experience, and MIUI 10 was focused on AI features and a full-screen experience. A report states that the upcoming MIUI 11 will have a refreshing look with many ‘ humanized functions’.
MIUI 10 was released in June 2018, and we can expect the same timeline for the new MIUI 11 release as well. The MIUI 10 Global ROM update comes with the faster experience than the previous MIUI version, AI Portrait feature, new Recent view, full-screen display gestures, and new system sound and ambient noises.
Just like the stock Android version, MIUI also gets a new major update every year. With no surprise, we’ll see MIUI 11 in 2019.
We can expect to learn more about the ongoing development of MIUI 11 as it moves forward. The company has not released any expected release date or the supported devices. We will keep you updated about the progress of MIUI 11.
